Christ Andersen Headwaters Guided Botanical Hike

8/21/2022 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM ET

We invite you to a guided hike on the newest YDWP parcel, a pristine wetland that forms part of the headwaters of Andersen Creek. On Sunday, August 21, 2022, botanist Steve Garske will introduce the public to the Christ Andersen Headwaters Preserve, which features a fen and sedge meadow complex with extremely high biodiversity and ecosystem integrity, due to its remote location and limited historic disruption. This inaugural hike is sponsored by the Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve, North Woods Native Plant Society, and the Upper Peninsula Environmental Coalition. Participants should bring their own bag lunch and meet at Cram's parking lot on CR-550 in Big Bay at 11am on August 21.

The event is free, but registration is required. If you would like to attend, please complete this form.

For more information contact rochelle@yellowdogwatershed.org or call the YDWP office at (906)345-9223.
